Summer 2022 Update: Playoffs
As we step into August, we start the last page in the chapter of Summer 2022. This summer yielded success, challenges, and new beginnings. Our two new EverybodyPlays soccer athletes, Abby and Micah, were welcomed to our program. In their first summer season with us, Abby and Micah built on their teams’ great regional success in the Spring season by playing in the National Playoffs. While their respective outcomes differed, the awarded triumph and stinging defeat serve as stepping stones for each athlete to continue their journey - and we are thrilled to remain steadfast in our support along the way.
Summer 2022: The Highlights
🏆 Our athletes who participated in the 2022 Girls ECNL National Soccer Playoffs (June 20th-26th) continued to shine. In particular, Abby, a forward for Real Colorado, separated herself from the crowd and led her team to the National Championship. As a result of her contribution in both Playoffs and former international play, Abby has earned the chance to represent the US Women’s National Team at the CONCACAF championship!
⚽️ Our EverybodyPlays boys soccer athletes enjoyed success at this summer’s MLS Next Cup Playoffs (June 24th-30th). Micah, a current U19 Real Colorado Academy team member, elevated his team to the biggest stage of men’s youth soccer, ultimately making a run at the Sweet 16. Micah will bring his talents to the University of South Carolina men’s soccer team this fall.
While only EverybodyPlays soccer athletes participated in play this summer, we look forward to welcoming a new diverse class of athletes across different sports in the Fall 2022 season.
Our team at EverybodyPlays wants to thank the clubs, coaches, and contributors that made possible the tremendous national success of our athletes this summer - because of our exhaustive team, we continue to recognize our mission to even the playing field one athlete at a time.
Our gaze is now locked on Fall 2022 as we strategize the best path to make the most significant positive impact on our community. As always, we welcome those who share our vision and are eager to make an impact!
